Workforce Development

To promote the dignity of work and the economic development of our communities, West/Southwest IAF organizations work to improve the quality of jobs, provide access to high-skill training opportunities, and build bridges between employers, educational institutions, and working families.  Achievements serve to not only help workers earn a wage sufficient to support a family, but also to better serve the labor needs of businesses and to make public institutions more effective.

MIT economist Paul Osterman, asserts that the West / Southwest IAF “has the most sophisticated and comprehensive approach to community labor issues in the nation.”
